Why should I use Probiotic Cleaning Products?
Our Probiotic cleaning involves using cleaning products that contain live bacteria. Our “good” bacteria work to break down organic matter, eliminate harmful bacteria as well as neutralise odours. Put simply, the way it works is that “Good Bacteria” competes with harmful bacteria for the same food sources, effectively reducing the number of harmful bacteria. Homeowners benefit in 3 ways:
- Enzyme Production: The probiotics produce enzymes that break down dirt and grime into smaller particles, which the good bacteria can then consume
- Long-Lasting Clean: Because the bacteria are alive, they continue to clean surfaces long after you’ve finished wiping, helping to prevent the buildup of further dirt.
- Probiotic Cleaning: Is considered more eco-friendly and safer for both humans and pets compared to traditional chemical cleaners since it is natures way of cleaning.
Probiotic cleaners aren’t just milder, they are also safer. Recent studies researching the impact of probiotic-based cleaning on hospital surfaces, concluded that they not only controlled surface microbial contamination but also lowered the occurrence of drug-resistant bacteria and reduce the development of dangerous bacteria.
How are your products different?
You won’t find them in supermarkets. To help reduce C02 emissions, we send our products on one journey direct to you. Secondly, we use aluminium bottles that are 100% recyclable and more durable than plastic, so you can refill and reuse time and again. We also don’t prefill our bottles. We deliver them empty with a sachet of concentrate to make packages lighter and further reduce carbon emissions.

Are your products vegan and cruelty free?
None of the ingredients we use are ever tested on animals and we never use ingredients in concentrations that exceed (or even come close to) the levels that would endanger aquatic or any other form of life, we avoid the use of palm oils because of the damage palm tree plantations do to the natural environment and use plant originated ingredients from sustainable sources wherever possible. How does your Refill - Reuse - Recycle method work?
Most supermarkets now have designated spots to recycle soft plastics, we’re encouraging our community to use these local options to recycle refill sachets alongside other soft plastics. We recommend saving up all of your soft plastics—such as food packaging, snack wrappers, and any other flexible items—and recycling them all at once during your next supermarket visit. This helps reinforce eco-friendly habits.
To recycle soft plastics, remember to rinse and dry your sachets (a quick drain on your board should do it!). If you’re unsure where your nearest drop-off point is, you can check here: https://www.recyclenow.com/repeat-the-cycle
Thank you for being part of this positive change and for your commitment to a cleaner, greener lifestyle.

Ingredients
Please tell me about Clean Living ingredients
None of the ingredients we use are ever tested on animals and we never use ingredients in concentrations that exceed (or even come close to) the levels that would endanger aquatic or any other form of life, we avoid the use of palm oils because of the damage palm tree plantations do to the natural environment and use plant originated ingredients from sustainable sources wherever possible. Our products are designed with safety and environmental sustainability at the forefront.
We recognise that unless you have a PhD in chemistry it is very difficult to navigate through the maze of online information and clearly distinguish between ingredients which are generally ‘good’ for both us and the wider environment, and those that are ‘bad’. This can lead to the general vilification of certain ingredients for what sometimes seem to be irrational reasons from a scientific perspective. Searching online, can be very easily mean you arrive at convenient generalisations; we should realise that these generalisations can be very misleading and actually wrong. We see it as our job to both select the right ingredients and to help you understand why they’re used.
Our approach to cleaning is to combine modern chemistry with natural ingredients to create a range of high performing products which do not present any threat to our families or the natural environment. Everything we do, from the sourcing of raw materials through to our choice of packaging and the way we ship our products represents a conscious decision to leave the world in a better place than we found it, without compromising on quality (Please see our Product Quality Control and Manufacturing Statement)
We make a wide range of cleaning products so please refer to the product section for the individual ingredients
Our product team has over 35 years of scientific experience in the Bioscience field having authored over 40 papers. Early in our development we made the decision to base our ingredient choices on the most demanding standards. Our GMP compliant fermentation suppliers are certified to ISO13025 and our blending partners are all based in the UK and are certified to ISO9001/14001/13485. All of the microbial species originate from the natural environment and have not been genetically modified in any way. We select, study and use micro-organisms shown to be helpful in removing soil, but also harmless to us and QPS compliant. By using ingredients which satisfy both CEFAS and MARPOL standards we believe our products set the standard for land and water environmental compatibility.
